Swedish regional airline Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) announced this week that it would start flying three new routes from Aarhus Airport (AAR) starting from the 27th of September 2021. The Trollhättan, Sweden,-headquartered airline, will offer six flights per week on every day except Saturday between Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT) and Demark’s second-largest city.
In addition to the new flights between Gothenburg and Aarhus, BRA says it will offer flights from its main hub at Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA) to Aarhus Airport (AAR) via a short stopover at Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT). The Scandinavian regional carrier also said that for Jutlanders who enjoy winter sports that from December 19, 2021, it would begin flying from Aarhus Airport (AAR) to Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) near the resorts of Sälen and Idre in Sweden, and Trysil in Norway.
The new Aarhus flight details
Flights between Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT) and Aarhus Airport (AAR) will depart at 10:40 on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Sunday, the flight will depart at 14:00 in the afternoon. The return leg of the flights from Aarhus Airport (AAR) to Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT) will depart at 11:45 on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Sunday, the flight will depart at 15:05 in the afternoon.
According to the airlines’ website, the 40-minute flight will be operated by one of the airlines 12 ATR 72 twin-engine turboprops. Ticket prices for the flight start at SEK 799 ($96).
Flights between Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA) and Aarhus Airport (AAR) will depart the Swedish capital at 09:10 on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Sunday, the flight will depart at 12:30. The return leg of the flight from Aarhus Airport (AAR) to Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA) will depart the Danish city at 11:45 on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Sunday, the flight will depart at 15:05 in the afternoon.
According to the airline’s website, the 02h15m flight, which includes a 30-minute stopover at Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT), will be operated by an ATR 72. Ticket prices for the flight start at SEK 1058 ($128).
Flight’s from Aarhus to the mountains
Flights from Aarhus Airport (AAR) to Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) between the 19th of December and the 22nd of December will operate on a Wednesday and Sunday. The flights will depart Aarhus Airport (AAR) at 11:45 on Wednesday and 14:40 on Sunday.
The return flights from Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) to Aarhus Airport (AAR) will depart at 13:30 on Wednesday and 16:30 on Sunday.
Flights from Aarhus Airport (AAR) to Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) between the 26th of December and the 29th of December will operate on a Wednesday and Sunday. The flights will depart Aarhus Airport (AAR) at 11:00 on Wednesday and 15:45 on Sunday.
The return flights from Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SAR) to Aarhus Airport (AAR) will depart at 12:45 on Wednesday and 13:55 on Sunday.
The flight times fluctuate slightly during January, but both remain on a Wednesday and Sunday. From February 14th until March 6th, the Wednesday flight is moved to Saturday. On Saturday, the flight departs Aarhus Airport (AAR) at 10:05 and on Sunday at 14:40. The return leg back to Aarhus Airport (AAR) departs Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) at 11:55 on Saturday and at 16:30 on Sunday.
