Lufthansa To Equip Entire Boeing 777F Fleet With Sharkskin Technology

German flag carrier Lufthansa is set to enhance the sustainability of its cargo division by equipping its Boeing 777F felt with sharkskin technology. This reduces an aircraft’s friction inflight, which, in turn, saves fuel. You can read more about it here.

Air India Carries 30 COVID Positive Travelers To Italy

Amid a devastating second wave of coronavirus in India, the country’s flag carrier was found to have transported 30 COVID-positive travelers from Amritsar to Rome. This has meant that all 242 occupants of the busy repatriation flight have been placed into quarantine. It is thought that some of the positive tests even corresponded to crew members.

Soon To Be Extinct: The Airbus A340-500

Simple Flying also spent time this week taking a look at the limited remaining operations of the Airbus A340-500. This rare aircraft presently serves just one route, namely that of Azerbaijan Airlines from Baku to Moscow Domodedovo. Ethiopian Mozambique Airlines Halts All Flights

The impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has forced Ethiopian Mozambique Airlines to halt its operations. The carrier, like many others, has been hit hard by the present lack of demand, and uncertainty regarding a potential recovery.

American Airlines Hosts Pizza Party On ERJ-175 Following Diversion
